Prototype "4306" iPhone 2G

Well we finally have some progress to show on this project. This is the prototype for this iPhone 2G project and we are experimenting with the different paints for the black finish. If you look at this iPhone with a quick glance, you would think that it is a 3G but it’s not.  The black finish really came out good and this is without a final buff or clear coat on the iPhone.

We also wanted to see how the iPhone would look without adding filler for the seams at the bottom by the attenna case and also how the indented Apple logo and “iPhone” words would look. On the final finished project, these will be filled and the iPhone will be completely smooth with now traces of the Apple logo, lettering, or the seam at the bottom.
