First Porn Star App Approved By Apple

iPhone Porn Star App

iPhone Porn Star App

Porn anyone? Well the App store has just the fix for you. Apple announced that they would approve the porn store app developed by GrindHouse Mobile and the stars themselves. The apps, featuring adult actress Sunny Leone and  Pet Aria Giovanni of Penthouse, seem to be more of a way for fans to keep up with the latest from their favorite porn divas. Sunny  Leone’s app features a blog, sets of photos, and personal videos, along with a Premium section through which updates are pushed to your phone. Giovanni’s App seems to be similiar for the most part.

Apple has had some controversy with its App Store approval process, since it began accepting submissions from third-party developers. Some apps include, Eucalyptus e-book reader because it could permit access to the Kama Sutra, an ancient text known for its description of sexual encounters and positions. And an app from the widely known group Nine Inch Nails was rejected because of sexually “objectionable content” in a song.

All in all, the app is pretty tame although GrindHouse did admit that in their first attempted at having the app approved, they were “a little too ‘hot’ for Apple’s compliance department.” GrindHouse revamped the application so that they could meet the necessary guidlines that needed to be met to have the app accepted on the App Store.

New Facebook Update!!!

fbthree-2

The new version of facebook is finally here. Version 3.0 gets some fresh updates that should make the iPhone/facebook experience more fun. The home screen has a new look to it (we approved). One of the main features that I like is the video upload capabilities from the new iPhone 3G S. I’m pretty sure that facebook will have a sudden increase of video uploads in the next couple of weeks. Let’s hope their servers are up to it.

Here are some of the new bells and whistles:

-”News Feed”
- Events
-Notes
-Create a new Photo Album from iPhone
-Upload photos to each album
-Zoom in photos
-Revised Home Screen with better options
-Friends messaging in landscape keyboard mode

There are more, but these are the ones I thought were the most important and fun. This version also fix some bugs from the last version that was available. The user  interface that they have now is really way cooler than the old one. The instant access to everything from the home screen is really a great step forward in making the iPhone as user friendly as the computer is when it comes to facebook.

I’m interested in how the next update will be when iPhone OS 3.1 comes out…

Spotify Music App Coming to App Store

August 27th, 2009 denimdragon No comments

UK news site paidContent:UK reports that Apple has just now approved Spotify, which should be appearing in the App Store shortly. Apple’s Cupertino spokesperson tells us it has approved the iPhone app from Spotify, the music service that many people believe represents a threat to iTunes: “The current status as of right now is it’s been approved and we hope to add the app to the more than 65,000 apps on the app store very soon. We’ve been in constant communication working with the developer and have already notified Spotify that the app will be in the app store very soon.”
Spotify is currently only available in select European countries, a number of which require invitations in order to access the company’s ad-supported service. Spotify also offers an ad-free premium service, priced at £9.99 per month in the UK, and the company will reportedly also offer an annual subscription price for service through the free iPhone application. The New York Times has reported that Spotify is scheduled to become available in the U.S. by the end of 2009.
