iPhone 4G Sales Close To Two Million, Without A Verizon iPhone

iPhone 4G was officially released on June 24, but those who pre-ordered it online early enough got it a day early. So far Apple has sold over 1.7 million iPhone 4G devices until Saturday June 26.  Here is what Steve Jobs, Apple CEO, said about this in a press release: “This is the most successful product launch in Apple’s history”. Just a note to the commentators:  I know it’s called iPhone 4 but I like to refer to it as iPhone 4G (fourth generation).

I would like to congratulate Apple on receiving this many iPhone 4G sales, they really deserved it for all the innovative features they put in their products. Imagine if the iPhone 4G was also available on Verizon or Sprint, Apple would have received a lot more sales!

The key selling point in the new iPhone 4G is the Retina Display, and also the front facing camera with FaceTime. The battery life also seems to be better than previous iPhones.

New iPhone 4G coming to Verizon Wireless in 2010? After their Anti-iPhone Droid marketing
campaign?

According to Digitimes, OmniVision, the supplier of the 3.2 megapixel camera for the current iPhone 3G/iPhone 3GS has secured 5-megapixel camera orders for the iPhone 4G . The iPhone 4th generation will launch in the second half of 2010. It will also contain a CDMA chip that allows it to be used on the Verizon Wireless network, if the rumors are true.

Apple launches new iPhones during the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). This year the WWDC conference is expected to be held during June, so that’s when we will find out whether or not there really is an iPhone 4G coming to Verizon. I’m hoping there will be one because I know a lot of people that would buy the iPhone if it came to Verizon.iphone-4g
